no worries. The mc will still get his rewards. It's just that they will all receive a basic inheritance (knowledge, skills, strength) left behind by the ancient civilization. Then the mc's reward for winning will be explained and given to him. This is just a way of strengthening side characters and upping the hype. No idea what mc's reward will be though. I think it was mentioned like... 20 episodes ago when this arc began.

The anime covered up 500 chapters of the novel. That is like 10% of the novel. The novel has 5012 chapters and counting. So, yeah! it's a long way from the end.
